How We Personalize Yoga Classes for Each Individual Company and Their Employees
We’ve highlighted a few local businesses that we’ve paired up with and are sharing some examples of how we build and focus our classes to be personalized for each client:
Serenity Spa: Tacoma, WA
For Serenity Spa, we hold hour long classes on Monday mornings before they open their doors. We make the most of the cozy lobby space by moving some furniture around to fit a small group of employees. This client has a mixture of people new to their mats and veteran yogis, which makes it a fun group to teach! Being able to introduce people to the practice but also offering options for more experienced yogis is a fun challenge to plan and create classes for.
Commencement Bay Rowing Club: Lakewood, WA
For this group of 25 high school students we do an hour-long yoga class, following their hour and a half workout routine. We focus this session toward more gentle stretches as no additional exercise is needed after their strenuous workout. We discuss the various exercises they did that day and then utilize yoga poses that won’t cause the opposing muscles to cramp. Meditation at the end is focused toward working through the stresses and growing pains of being a teenager.
The Rush Companies: Gig Harbor, WA
We love that The Rush Companies has built a large gym just for their employees! For this company we’ve done short 30 minute sessions, to keep the yoga classes accessible to all staff and so employees can sneak in a quick break right before lunch. These yoga classes are geared toward making beginner’s feel comfortable and creating a community bonding experience for coworkers.
Dermatology Clinic for Animals: Lacey, WA
For this client, we utilize the front lobby, a small space where we move furniture around and place mats in each doorway to ensure that everyone has the ability to stretch out. We run this class on Wednesday mornings before the clinic opens to create an atmosphere of calmness and excitement for the work day ahead.
